FLIRT by Eclipse, was the first mare to be recorded in this family during the 1880’s. She belonged to the Hooke family and was out of Spot who was bred by the Campbell’s of Arden Hall, Scone. Eclipse was the maternal grandsire of both Cecil and Saladin. He is the sire line of Starlight and Medlow. She was dam of –
JAMTART by Tester, was one of Bernard Haydon’s best mares and won many of the early Bridle Spurts.

THORA by The Dane, Blk f (1914) was recognised by F.B. (Fred) Haydon as one of the best mares ever bred at Bloomfield in his time. Ridden by B.B. (Barney) Haydon, she won many of the original campdrafts in the 1920’s period. She produced many good foals and she has been used as the foundation mare of this family.
THORA by The Dane, Blk f (1914). Produced five foals all successful campdrafters.
TWILIGHT by Starlight, Bay f (1930) was regarded by F.B. (Jim) Haydon as one of the best horses he had ridden. She broke a bone in her pastern during her first campdraft run and was then used as a broodmare.
STARDUST by Starlight, Bay g (1931) campdraft winner.
COMET by Starlight, Bay g (1932) campdraft winner, including the Gloucester Cup in 1946. An excellent riding and bush horse.
BRIGHT EYES by Bullseye, Bay f (1935) a top campdraft mare. Sent to Dimray in 1945 but did not get in foal.
DARKNIGHT by Starlight Blk f (1936) a brilliant mare winning an Open Campdraft at her first appearance, as well as placing second in the Maiden. She drafted at the R.A.S in 1947 in the Duke of Gloucester World Championship campdraft. She won in excess of twenty cut-out prizes and on many occasions scored 25/26 in the camp. Ridden by Jim Haydon she beat Reg Watt’s renowned mare Norma in a run-off to win the Durham Championship Cup at Wingen. She died in 1949 before producing any foals.
